Back to Tuesday Nights

As crazy as it's been lately, mom and I haven't made it to Tuesday Night Stitching.  We made it tonight.  I finished the "y" in merry and started the cottage on Just Nan's By the Letter.  Then Thursday is sampler club so hopefully I'll get some more done on my 12 years of Christmas.

My Superbowl Trees are Done!

I have finally finished all of my superbowl trees!  Roger's tree is done.  Now I just need to make a tree for Tina.  That way they can each have a handmade tree of their very own.  I can't believe all my trees are done.  I'll be seeing Saints and Colts for years to come.  I practically have the pattern memorized.  Ha ha

Welcome Makayla!

Well, Makayla finally arrived.  My girl tried hard to make it for the Superbowl.  She missed the game by a few hours.  But Joey recorded it so they'll watch it together one night for a 3am feeding.  he he.  Mom and I went tonight to see her instead of going to stitching.  She's absolutely beautiful!  We had to stop by the shop to show her pictures off though.  Now that she's here, I can post Nikki's surprise.

Surprise!

I finished Nikki's (or should I say, Makayla's) surprise.  Now I just need to wait for her to get here.  According to Nikki's doctor, everything's looking good.  So, I should be posting pictures of Makayla and her surprise soon.

Sampler Club

Sampler Club is officially back in full swing.  It was a great group even though I was sick as a dog.  Mom and I had a ball hosting.  Her pizza dip was a hit (similar to yours, Alecia, but not exact).  So was my king cake because it was the first king cake of the season for most people.  Mom and I started our 12 Years ( I mean days) of Christmas by Nora Corbett.  I got a little bit of stitching done even as sick as I was.

Taking Care of Mom

Mom got sick on the 15th.  Daddy had to take her to the emergency room on the 15th.  I took of Thursday and Friday to help take her to her physical therapy appointments.  I got a lot of stitching while waiting with mom at Dr's offices and sitting up with her at night.  I especially got a lot of work done on my Thanksgiving Fairy.  She's over halfway done!  I started my Christmas Fairy to break the monotony, but I didn't get much done because I was working so hard on Thanksgiving.  Mom wasn't idle either.  Even though she was in pain, she made yo-yo's out the wazoo.

Happy New Year!

It's a new year and there's plenty of new stitching to do!  Tonight at Tuesday Night Stitching, I kitted up Nora Corbett's "12 Days of Christmas" for myself and mom.  We plan on working on it during sampler club (which will be the 4th Thursday not the 3rd).  Mom wants to finish her "Dozen Buzzins" on Tuesday nights so I'll work with her on "12 Days" during sampler club.

There's plenty of old stitching I need to finish, too.  I haven't put those projects aside either.  I'll work on those while mom's buzzin' it.

I'm proud of Nikki.  She finally kitted up and started her birth announcement hang-up.  She's got 6 weeks until Makayla comes.  Maybe she'll get it done in time....for Makayla's high school graduation.  Ha ha.  Just teasing, Nikki.  I have faith in you.

Let's get stitching...
