Boo Flips

Superbowl Tree

Boo Flips
I finished the rotation on my boo flips by Just Nan.  I completed the "pumpkin" and "fright" patches during the rotation.  I'm almost finished with "brew".  The wording is complete.  I just need to finish the cauldron and witch hat then stitch the broom.  I also stitched a little more on Roger's Superbowl tree.  Now I get to put Fish City back in the rotation.

Pre-Birthday Celebration

Blue Jean Teddy Quilt

Superbowl Tree

My first-grade team is taking me out for our birthday/Christmas celebration tomorrow so I'm not going to my stitching night.  So I decided to treat myself to some pre-birthday stitching tonight.  I was able to finish the rotation on my blue jean teddy baby quilt and get myself halfway finished with Roger's superbowl tree.  Woo-hoo.  I also posted a picture of my Christmas lights.  I'm really proud of myself!

Sampler Club

A few years ago, the Tuesday night stitching club began our sampler club.  Half of us are working on a Christmas sampler by Victoria Sampler; the other half is working on an alphabet sampler by Drawn Threads.  We haven't been getting together lately, so I'm not getting anything done on my sampler (I don't know how to do hardanger).  I talked to Diane and she agreed to let me start the sampler club back up and running in January.  So I'll be busy again the 3rd Thursday of each month.

Needlepoint

Nutcracker Needlepoint
Mom and I worked LPB's pledge drive tonight.  After running errands and answering phones all day, I decided to snuggle up with the kitty and get some stitching done.  I finished my nutcracker needlepoint rotation!  I finished his hat and the top part of his face (up to his eyes).  This needlepoint piece is the whole reason I do rotation stitching in the first place.  If it wasn't for forcing myself to add it to the rotation, it would never get stitched on because I am not a needlepoint fan.  It's such a cute piece though so I need to stitch on it.

Stitching Night

Well, I finally went back to stitching night at Cross Stitch Corner.  I got a lot done on my final Superbowl Tree.  Bought some stuff, too, but I couldn't resist.  It was designs by my favorite designer, Nora Corbett (aka Miribilia).  I bought thread and necessities, too.  My Weeks Quilting Threads came in, too.  Speaking of which, I need to see if any of them are Mom's.  Well, here's the tree...

Happy Thanksgiving!

Went to Mom's for Thanksgiving and got some serious stitching done.  Mom finished a project at my house last weekend and couldn't let her top me so I finished my Halloween Fairy.  I also did some stitching on my Thanksgiving Fairy in honor of the season.

Visions of Sugarplums

Sugarplum Stocking

Superbowl Tree #8
I was curled up on the couch with the kitty feeling sorry for myself cuz I don't feel good.  Figured I'd use my pitty pot time to finish the rotation on my Christmas stocking.  Got a lot done this rotation.  I'm actually working on the little boy's head now.  I've also added a picture of the progress on my last Superbowl tree.  This one's for Roger.

Seven Down, One to Go!

Daddy's Superbowl Tree
I finished another Superbowl Tree!  This one is Daddy's.  Now I only have Roger's left to finish.  Daddy, if you're reading this, Merry Christmas!  Get over it not being a surprise.  Woo hoo!

Teepee Bears

Teepee bears
Since I was hugging a toilet last night and couldn't do much else, I finished my rotation on teepee bears.  I was going to do it for Nikki's little boy.  Since she's having a girl instead, I'll have to come up with plan B.  I'll save this for someone else.

Break Time

I decided to take a 20 minute break from my midterm exam and finished up one of my rotations.  I worked on Nikki's surprise.  Since I can't post a picture of Nikki's surprise, I'm going to post my superbowl trees.  I'm almost finished with this one.  Then I only have one more to go!  Well, back to my midterm.

Updating my Works in Progress

The Pack

Mr. Bear

Well let's get this show on the road.  Here are two pieces I have been working on.  The wolf pack will probably end up as a gift for our neighbor Mrs. Nancy because she loves stuff like that.  Don't know who Mr. Bear will go to, but he's awfully cute.

Finished Something!

Here's a picture of the Halloween bookmark I made for mom's friend.  She's a Halloween baby and loves spooky stuff (cuz she's a witch.  It's not an insult.  She'd agree.)  Robin helped us figure out how to turn it into a bookmark.  That's mom's job.

Welcome

Hey guys!  Welcome to my cross stitch web blog.  I'm trying to motivate myself to finish some projects.  Maybe this will help.  My goal is to keep this site updated with my works in progress and finished cross stitch projects.  Wish me luck...
