April Architecture

This month's theme for my focus project was April Architecture.  I decided to pull out my favorite old WIP, Fish City by Stoney Creek.  There's lots of architecture in this project.

Next month is Maynia for Stitch Maynia.  I don't really like starting a new project until I finish one so I will be reverting to Heather at It's All Geek to Me's monthly theme May Menagerie.  I've got lots of WIPs with critters on them.

10 Hour Rotation Finished

I finished another 10 Hour Rotation.  This time I worked on my Dickens' Mittens patterns for Momma.  This mitten is representing Fezziwig.  I am over halfway finished with this one.  Only 2 1/2 mittens left to stitch!

April WIPocalypse Check-In

Topic: What projects are in your UFO pile?
I do not have any projects in my UFO pile.  If I start a project, I will finish it--eventually.  I am fortunate enough to enjoy all the projects I have chosen to work on so I never felt like I needed to put a project away or stop it all together.  It might spend a loooooong time waiting for it's turn in my rotation, but I will eventually pick it up again to try to finish it.

Now PHDs are a whole other topic of discussion.... ;0)

This month I am stitching on Athena by Mirabilia, Narrowboat by Carol Thornton, Into the Deep by Passione Ricamo, Madonna and Child by Kooler Design Studio, Around the World in 80 Stitches by Papillon Creations, and Christmas Tree Sampler by Victoria Sampler.

10 Hour Rotation Finished

I finished my 10 hour rotation on Chinese Dragon by Lesley Teare.  I was able to get more stitching done on the dragon's back and head.  His middle is more defined as well.  I'm pretty proud of the progress.

Jessie Marie Day 12

For the final day of Jessie Marie's SAL, our task was to stitch on something family related.  So I chose to work on my Madonna and Child kit by Kooler Design Studios.

Jessie Marie Day 11

Today's task was a new start.  I wasn't planning on a new start because I don't like to start a new project until I have finished a WIP.  Fortunately, I finished Christmas by the Letter a few days ago (thanks, Jessie!) so I decided to start my China Teapot Tray by Maria Diaz.

Jessie Marie Day 10

Today's task was to stitch on a "bookish" project.  I chose to work on Too Much Honey by Bucilla.  This is based on the characters in Winnie the Pooh by A.A. Milne.

Earth Day Challenge

In honor of the Earth Day SAL from StitchMaynia, I worked on my Farm Babies Birth Sampler by Stoney Creek.  My little lamb-kins is coming along.  Yay!

Jessie Marie Day 9

Today's task was to stitch a project somehow related to the number 29.  I chose to stitch on my 29th WIP.  Which brought me back to Dolphin's Domain by Dimensions.  So I got another day on it.

Jessie Marie Day 8

Today's task was to stitch a piece close to a finish.  I was originally going to stitch on my Christmas by the Letter piece by Lizzie Kate.  However, I had to change projects because that one is finished!!!  Woo hoo!!!  So I switched gears to my Dolphin's Domain kit by Dimensions.  That is my project closest to being done right now.

Jessie Marie Day 7

Today's task is to stitch a diamond-related piece since that is Jessie's birthstone.  I chose to stitch on my Into the Deep Mermaid by Passione Ricamo.  Lots of sparkly beads in this one.  This one was a new start.

Jessie Marie Day 6

Today's task was to stitch on a pretty piece.  I think my prettiest piece is Sabrina by Mirabilia.  A little more progress made.

Jessie Marie Day 5

Today's task was to stitch on an animal piece, bonus points if it's a bulldog.  Well, I don't have any bulldog pieces, but I do have dogs (of a sort).  I stitched on my piece The Pack by Pegasus Originals.  Didn't do much because it was a busy day, but I did put a few stitches in...

Jessie Marie Day 4

Today's task was to stitch on something with one of Jessie's favorite colors purple, maroon, or orange.  I chose to work on my Lavendar Sampler by Anchor.  It was a new start.  Sadly, I did not get to any of the purple stitches yet.  Oh well, the name will have to do for the challenge.

A Quilty Finish

In March, Momma and I went to the GSQA Seminar in New Orleans.  We took two classes with Rebekah Smith, a fabulous felted wool designer.  We both finished our first project the weekend of seminar (our needle rolls).  Tonight I finished my second project, the felted wool basket.  I can't believe I finished both projects the same year as seminar!  I'm off to buy a lottery ticket...

Jessie Marie Day 3

Today's task was to stitch on a piece that I was enabled to purchase.  This was Christmas by the Letter by Lizzie Kate.  This was a piece purchased by all the Lemming Stitchers (so called because we all are enabled blindly to purchase ourselves off the cliff) at my former LNS.  Thanks to Jessie's SAL, this one is a finish!!!

Jessie Marie Day 2

Today's task was to choose a piece based on the letters JMDS for Jessie Marie Does Stuff.  I chose Mr. Bear by Designs by the Needle for the letter M.

Jessie Marie Day 1

Today's task was to work on my oldest WIP.  That would be Fish City by Stoney Creek.  Here's my progress.  There's lots to show on this one because it's also my focus piece for the month of April.
