New Year's Progress

Rose Tree Stocking
One of my new year's resolutions is to finish projects.  Any kind of project is up for grabs.  I've got a ton of UFO's that need to make a landing!  So here's step one to my goal.  I finished one of my felt stockings I began a LONG time ago.  Well, it's done.  Not only is it stitched, but it is finished.  It is a stocking ready to hang by the fireplace.

Mystery SAL

Mystery SAL
Another Thursday; another section completed.  Tonight I finished part 6 of my Mystery SAL.  This was the winged section to the left.  Then, when Bethie and I looked, we figured out I was only two months behind!  I added the hardanger section to this one.  I'm getting more comfortable with the cutting part.

New Year, Fresh Start

PR SAL
As you can tell, I was bad about updating my blog toward the end of last year.  Things got so crazy I wasn't even doing much stitching.  If it wasn't for Bethie coming over once a week, I wouldn't have gotten any stitching done at all!  Thanks to her visits Thursday and Friday, I finished part 3 of my PR fairy SAL.  That means I'm now only 3 months behind.  Now for a break to stitch on my Around the World in 80 Stitches SAL.

Hurricane Isaac

Fairy before Isaac
Well, since there wasn't much to do otherwise, I got some more stitching done.  I'm still trying to finish part 2 of my Passione Ricamo fairy.  I completed the top border, got a large chunk of the background finished, and almost completed the moon.  That was a lot of stitching considering I was also babysitting Daddy.

My Passione Ricamo Fairy

PR Fairy Before
PR Fairy After
I got the back-to-school crud this weekend.  I wasn't majorly sick, but I did get a lot of stitching done because there wasn't much else I could do.  I finished the entire first page of my Fairy SAL.  That's a good thing because the next part of my Papillion SAL came in and I haven't started it yet.

An Awesome Gift

Bethie's awesome gift
When Bethie came over Tuesday night for stitching, she had a wonderful surprise for me.  It was dry erase frames she made to match my kitchen.  Now I can plan meals, write notes for myself, and jot down all the stuff I need to remember.  What an awesome gift!

To top things off, I even got a small amount of stitching done.  Not too bad for the first day of school...

Bethie's Visit

Fairy SAL before
Fairy SAL after
I made more progress than I thought last night when Bethie came for a night of stitching.  It seemed like I stitched a whole lot, but had nothing to show for it.  However, when you look at the pictures side by side, you can see the smidgen of progress I made.
