Around the World in 80 Stitches Part 2

SAL Part 2
I finished my SAL Part 2.  The tulip leaves are done and being sent to Papillon Stitches for publication.  I've gotten Part 3 and I'm starting it now.  It's the flower petals for the tulip leaves.  Very pretty!

Think Daddy likes it?

Well, I finished a project, but it's not cross stitch.  I finally finished Daddy's Marine Corps Quilt--just in time for Father's Day.  I wouldn't have made this deadline without Momma's help, though.  She was stitching on one end of the binding while I was stitching the other.  It was worth it though, I think Daddy kinda likes it.

Tulip 1 finished for my SAL

Tulip 1
I finished the first tulip in part 2 of my SAL.  That means I'm halfway done with part 2!  Now I just have to mirror image everything for the 2nd tulip.  No sweat!

Papillion Stitches

I'm on the website.  Yvonne e-mailed me that she'd love to put mine up.  I think it was  because I'm the only one who stitched the piece in overdyed threads.  Either way you can find me at http://papillon-creations.com.  Go to the photo gallery and select "Around the World".  You'll see Jaret G. there.  ;0)

Tuesday Night Stitching

3 French Hens
Today was a pretty good day for me (Yeah!).  I had an awesome meeting downtown for our gifted camp this summer.  I got out early and got to meet Momma for a late lunch/early dinner before stitching (yummy Mexican food).  Then Bethie met us at stitching.  Mom and I worked on our 12 Years (I mean days) of Christmas by Nora Corbett.  She pointed out that I missed a section at the top of Day 2 (thpbt :0p) so I finished that and began seriously working on Day 3.  I managed to work my way across the bottom to add the lower holly border.

My SAL progress

Mystery SAL part 1
I finished part 1 of my mystery SAL.  I sent my photo to the designer, Papillion Stitches, to see if she'll publish it on her website.  I have made progress on part 2 that I'll add to a later post.  For now, I want to show my complete Part 1.

Tuesday Update--two days late

On Tuesday, Mom and I went to Jones Creek Library for stitching.  Yup, we're still going even without the shop.  I worked on my new SAL project from Papillon.  I don't know what it's gonna look like because it's supposed to be a mystery project.  You guys know I need a new project like a need a new hole in the head, but here it is anyway:
